Feast of Stirring 2003
Here we are in West Virginia! We arrived shortly before Yule and moved
into an apartment until we can find another house. I attacked this project
with much vigor and found a beauty not too far away from Tony's new
office. It's not the farm we were hoping for, however, we will still
have plenty of room for visitors. It appears we have a buyer for the
Quincy digs, so now it's just a matter of waiting and nail biting until
we can make our final move in April. By then, this moving process will
have eaten up an entire year of our lives! Hard to believe, but then
perfection is worth the wait. We are promising everyone that this will
be the last relocation for the Henge office. Please cross your fingers.
We are also making plans to attend some festivals this year after a
hiatus that has been too long. Pagan Spirit Gathering is a must this
year and possibly a few others on the east coast circuit.
In other news of the Henge, this is a large election year. We have
three seats to fill on the Board of Trustees. Both Secretary Topaz and
I have served for our maximum number of terms and will be seeking other
venues for service to the Henge. Vice-President Rain is also vacating
her seat this term to concentrate on her Study Group, her family and
more writing for the Henge. She is a major contributor and we look forward
to what she comes up with next. At any rate, the annual meeting this
year promises to be an interesting one indeed.
The annual meeting will be in Minnesota again this year hosted by Rain
and Harvest Moon Study Group. Look for further details elsewhere in
this issue. Tony and I are looking forward to returning to our roots
once again to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones.

From
the Secretary
Greetings fellow Keltrians,
Snow continues to fall, and the single-digit and negative temperatures
are brutal here in the Northeast. With Imbolc upon us, the Board
of Trustees elections that will occur at the Annual Members'
Meeting this summer seem far away. However, realizing that there
is really only one more issue of Henge Happenings to come between
the Imbolc issue and the elections, I'd like to remind our Members
now of the beginnings of the process for election that we use
within the Henge.
Positions up for election this year are as follows:
President
Vice President
Secretary
The incumbant President and Secretary have served their 3-term
limits and will be unable to run again for the positions they
currently hold, so this could prove to be a very exciting election
year!
The Henge Office has received Notices of Intent to Run for:
President - from current Secretary TopazOwl.
Vice-President - from current President Wren.
Secretary - from Trustee Tony.
The Henge Bylaws state that any member in good standing of
the Henge of Keltria may run for office. Any member interested
in running for any of the elected positions on the Board of
Trustees mentioned above must submit a Letter of Intent to Run
for Office to the Secretary of the Henge in a timely fashion.
The deadline will be March 1, 2003.
Candidates will then be required to submit a personal biography
to the Secretary for publication in Henge Happenings. This biography
can be no longer than 200 words. The deadline for submission
of this personal biography is April 1, 2003.
Letters of Intent and Candidate Biographies may be submitted
to the Secretary by e-mail at: Secretary, or sent
by post to the Secretary in care of the Henge Office.
Blessings,
T. Owl
Henge Secretary

Congratulations to
the Grandparents!
The Stork is flying low around the Henge. President Wren and
Trustee Tony became grandparents this past November 27th with
the birth of a granddaughter Sascha. Sascha's mother opted for
natural childbirth in a hospital setting.
Not to be outdone, Treasurer Karl became a grandfather within
the month. On December 24th his new grandson, Emmett, was delivered
at home in a water birth.
Congratulations to all!

The
Bard's Path
Defining Venus
O Goddess Moon, embodiment of her essence
soft and round
feminine illumination
compelling those before her, to move closer
let her gaze fall upon you and enchant
The mystery of her beauty has no beginning
wine-red warrior, gentle and forgiving
understanding the rhythm of all that is growing
serene knowledge is within her grasp
A daughter of the highest lunation
joined within the circle of all who came before
ready to conquer for those in desperation
Rest within my arms, I have always been here
Let me encircle you with all that I am
my depths shall fill you with unspoken things
look no further, all you seek lies before you
Behold
I am the mirror of all desire
I stand alone in a turbulent sea
or softly yield to a tender touch
revealing myself slowly, for I come from within
my eyes reflect all eternal things
Just beyond what you see, my radiance lies deeper
guided by your soul, recognize me with your heart
secrets of many seasons have always been part of me
I am lover
mother, daughter and friend.
